Any good Extended Warranty companies that will cover a RX-7?
I've been thinking about selling my Z32 for a FD after a recent test drive. However, I would never purchase one without some sort of extended warranty. The problem is, none of the popular online warranty companies offer anything for the RX-7. (1stSourceAutoWarranty, WebDirect, WebGodl) Either it's too old, or they don't cover turbo charged vehicles.
Can anyone recommend one? Thanks!

Fidelity. I had the gold package for $2000. It covered it for 36 mos or 50,000 mi. I only had one problem and that was the rear main seal and oil filter o ring. And they covered it at the local Mazda dealer.
Of course, those days are over, as soon as you mod the car (which every rx-7 owner should do, even for reliability) then the warranty is voided. So don't waste your money on one if you are going to mod it!

jyaki, but if you made a good mistake swapping in an aftermarket radiator and overheated the engine, that wouldn't be covered.
My question, could I perform the reliability mods and then get a warranty? I'm not planning on doing performance mods that would require me to swap out my stock CPU.

I had an extended warranty on my car unitl 85,000 miles. My car had suspension intakes and a catback. As long as your mods didn't cause the repair in anyway, the repair should be covered under warranty.
GE Capital bought me a new motor & turbos, over hauled my tranny, 2 waterpumps, fixed my ABS, and a whole bunch of other stuff...
It was tough to get them to pay for repairs, in the end they paid. I had to prove that I had the oil changed every 3000-5000 miles.

Continental Warranty
I recently bought a Continental Warranty for $1300. It's a 3yr/36,000 mile warranty that covers every single thing and it only has a $50 deductable per visit. To qualify you have to have under 50k miles. They don't send an inspector and let you choose your repair place. Pretty good deal in my eyes.. It's here:
