Unhappy antifreeze leak, help asap!

i parked the car in my garage to fix my headlight cover, when i noticed that my car sprung a leak of green liquid.

the car is a 93 touring

i am only 16 so bare with me

i looked under the car and in the very left front of the car(on the bottom of the car, and looking at it from the front) i noticed antifreeze dripping. now i waited a while after it stopped to look for a crack in the tank. unfortunatly i didnt see a crack, but i did see 2 very small rectangular holes and i do believe this is where the leak came from.

now i dont know what to do at this point, but i have a bottle of antifreeze in my garage.

can anyone offer me any help, maybe what to do and how to fix it possibly. i dont even know where the damn radiator cap is, and i have a date tommorow , help would be great!

thanks alot

First thing, check the coolant level in the filler neck which is circled in the picture above.

What can happen is that if the coolant system is overloaded, it will kick the excess into the overflow tank which will rise to the overflow hole and then exit onto the ground after shutting the car down. It's not necessarily what's happening with your car, but let's start with the obvious first.

No problem, just make sure that coolant filler neck isn't empty. Good luck!

If you didn't do any work on you cooling system recently and you coolant is all of a sudden backing out of the overflow, you may be looking at a coolant seal leak.
Take the filler cap off and start/run the car till warm, make sure the fluid is full at the neck, and look for small bubbles, if they are present then you've got a bad cooland seal.

You can also check the coolant drain plug, it might be old and the rubber o-ring gets hard and crack. It happened to me about 5 months ago. Once I replaced the plug, its ok.

It will only kick excess coolant into the overflow IF you loosen the AST as well..
In Mahjik's pic it's the cap northwest of the Z of "blitz".

The stock overflow is composed of 2 pieces, and if it goes over where the 2 pieces connect, it will often overflow. Normally tho, leaking coolant is a verrrrry bad sign (engine rebuild). Check if you have any blobs of oil in the filler neck for a while
