I can't speak for everyone, but I bet most of us are annoyed by those little rattles that we hear when going over bumps in the road. Sometimes we can find them. Sometimes we can't. I have been hearing one for quite a while, but never could figure out where it was. I was hearing it from the passenger side, somewhere behind the seat. I thought it was something behind the panel, so I pulled it off, and found nothing loose. That was a few months ago.
Yesterday, I decided to look at the jack assembly. It turned out that the jack handle was the culprit. The tubular plastic fits loosely on the jack handle, and rattled when going over bumps. I found an empty one gallon milk container, and cut out a 1/2" X 2" section. Then I slid the plastic in between the tube on the jack handle, and the metal. This will hold things snugly, and no more rattle.
I hope this helps someone

I have this horrible rattle in my dashboard, right under the defrost vent. Only ratles when there's wind through the system... weird. Prolly have to pull the entire dash, huh?
Also the driver's seat belt retraction nechanism. My FC had the same buzz, feels like an old friend....

A bit of upholstery foam that I had laying around the garage worked nice for me. Clear adhesive silicone caulk works great on most plastic interior rattles too.

Good stuff Adam.
I've been telling people for years to check the jack accessories first when looking for rattles in the rear (then move onto pillow ***** and such). As usual, no one listened to me.

Another thing that rattles, sounds like it's from the front dashboard, by the vents, kindda sounds like a squeak-squeak, gets loud when traveling on city streets. Turns out it's the hood latch. To fix it, I applied a little duct tape around the latch that gets hooked by stationary hook in the engine bay. Squeak/rattle is gone!!! Hope that helps someone too.
I've got an extremely annoying rattle that sounds like its coming from somewhere behind the engine but on the downpipe side. It's very noticeable when I am downshifting or just slowing down to less than 15mph. It sounds so much like a piece of aluminum tapping the hell out of another piece of metal. I discovered that several of the bolts to my ABS and it's heat shield had sheared off, but even after I replaced those; it didn't make a bit of difference. Any ideas? Thanks!

For the hatch,
loosen the latching mechanism on the body side and slide it a little lower. Also, raise the bump stops with some washers. These combined give the hatch a tight closure.
One of the top mounting bolts for my Koni's, the one that tightens the rubber donut had come loose and rattled before I fixed it.
Rear-view mirror rattle.....could not figure it out, so I got a new rearview.
Interior dome light rattle....after several attempts to deaden the rattle, adjust clips so it mounted tighter I eventually flipped it around (backwards) and now it fits too snug to rattle.
Door panels.....the plastic pin-clips that hold the lower window/door threashold had some broken, and were rattling around in the metal door frame holes. Fixed them.
After market shifter....tighten those allen screws down
Slight noise coming from steering column covers.....got new ones with all pins/clips intact.
Rear end clunk was finally repaired by replacing all stock suspension parts and adding Koni shocks.
Just off the top of my head....but, if it's not one thing with this car it's another!
