What is the color code listed on the door jam sticker? I think the Euro models have that sticker but I am not sure. Other than that the only real way to know is to call Mazda and give them the VIN.
dependent on your model series karl..
series six carried cym paint code j9.. sunburst yellow paint code hz thereafter.. series seven and eight..
this is all providing of course that your fd has not had a repaint...

certainly information that couldve been shared earlier.. thought the inquiry was to find out if your fd was originally cym..
you will not find the info on the jam in this case.. your only recourse would be to contact the original owner for info..
or possibly do a side by side comparison with another true cym fd... pictures wont do..

sorry about the confusion, contacting the original owner is going to be pretty impossible tbh, thats the problem though, there is no, true original cym in and around my area.
pictures are helping and i think that 99spec looks very different from mine. could you post a pic amp
