Are all the Solenoids in the Rat's nest the same?
I'm looking at the rat's nest, and for the non seq. conversion I need only some of the solenoids. I also just happened to break the solenoids I need from the rat's nest. The plastic was too britle from the heat. Anyway, I have the 4 back solenoids that are in good condition. Can I use them as replacements, and what level resistor do I put into the harness clips to fool the computer into thinking the solenoids are there. Thanks for all the info,
Ralph

they are all the same. in essence, they all have 3 outlets/nipples, some just have a tiny filter attached to one of them. they all function the same way when 12v is applied. i am positive about reading this somewhere. you guys can as Poweraxel.

Thanks guys. Does anyone know what kind of resistor I need to put in to replace the solenoids I take out of the wiring harness for the non seq. setup. Also will I have any problems with cold starts by going with the non seq. setup? Thanks for all the info. Your saving me alot of money lol.... Those Solenoids are expensive. lol....

My two cents. I called Hitachi and tried to track down a better replacement for the plastic ones. If you look at all the three nipple type, they all have AESA127- on the side of the solenoid. The only difference is where the muffler is placed, no muffler, or the color of the sticker or paint on them. They are all identical mechanically if they have the AESA127- on the side. There are other ones similar like AESA129- but they are not used on the RX7's (as far as I know).
PS Hitachi said I must get the ones from Mazda if I want them. They do not sell to anyone else other than the Original Equipment Manufacturers.

I love this forum. lol.
Sweet info. Keep it coming. Mainly what resistance for the replacements of the solenoids I don't need on the wiring harness. Thanks guys for all the info.

I have some used ones that are in great condition. They all came out of a N/As and I am willing to let each go for $18.50 for the first one and $15 for each additional solenoid.
