Air Pump and A/C gone but....

Hey guys,
I was curious as to what you all do about belts when it comes to removing your air pump and A/C. I know they run on seperate belts and a belt came iwth my pulley kit for the air pump delete but what about the other longer belt? I took my A/C out but kept my power steering. I haven't started the car like this yet but I took a piece of string and weaved it through the pulleys like the stock belt would go and measured it. Then I converted it to millimeters and went to Auto Zone and purchased a belt of that size and comparable teeth. Anything wrong with this?

As long as you can have good tension on the belt to drive the accessory, there shouldn't be any problems.

Im kinda in the same boat. A 29 and a 31 wouldnt fit (alternator belt) and the 30.5 seemed like it be to big. I have no airpump nor ac. Anybody know the exact size to buy for both the power steering and alternator belts. I asked for a 30 but they didnt have it, I figure that will be my best bet as far as the alt. belt goes.

I will get the exact sizes we used for both belts. After that you should be able to visit your local Auto Zone or w/e is local to you and give them the size. I will be in touch.

I will get that belt size tonight but what you could also try is buying a few belts between the sizes you need and returning the ones you don't use. Either way iw ill get back to you.

I had a 29 belt was to small and the 31 was to big.. They had a 30.5 in stock but it still looked like it was going to be to big. I figured a 30 would work but they didnt carry it.
