Question After furhter Review on my boost problem...

I know everyone is tired of hearing about this problem, but I have noticed something strange. Before I thought just first gear wasn't working (2nd turbo), but now I've learned that what ever gear I'm in when I open it up the secondary turbo won't boost, then after it struggles (after 4500 rpms) I shift and then the next gears work beautifully. I have a PFS PMS (the purple one) running piggy back, and pretty much know the problem is in there. Without it the car is fine. Anyone have any suggestions on what to tweak?

I would suggest turning "vent lern" on to see if it straightens itself out some. That alone will most likely not fix it but it's a start.

Rikki, I've been all over that site, and have the manual in hand. What can you tell me about vent values? When should they vent? And, should I manually adjust the venting? Right now I believe I'm using the vent learn option (2nd setting). The boost setting seem to be okay...I don't know much about venting or this turbo system (yet). The software on the box is '99.

Okay, I just went out on my lunch break to try and tune the venting issue. It appears that you can only "manually" adjust the venting in the third setting. Should I try and program the third setting just like the 1st or 2nd? Would that even work? I was told NEVER use the third setting unless you're running race fuel...I just want the boost to work properly no matter what gear I'm in. How exactly does vent learn work anyway? Sorry for playing 20 Q's

Now I've learned that if I edit the venting in the third setting it's a global edit. Now my boost is nailing whatever I set it at...still lack in the first gear that I punch it in (WOT). I have no idea why my 2nd turbo will not boost until I shift out of the struggling gear!!!
