interior was decent but very dusty
leather seats were cracked

the owner was asking 5k. also the owner is supposed to contact me and what type of questions do you think i should ask the ownder.

Sounds like a rip off to me!
5k for a rolling shell, tell the guy to keep dreaming and offer him 1.5-2k at the MOST.

Get as much info as you can on the car, make sure you get the mileage as an old dog will cost you much more than a good condition running one. You dont know what else may be missing.

Ask yourself, what else is missing or broken, how much rust is there? try and calculate how much it will cost to put on the road and add another half and you should be close. I should know I just rebuilt a complete FD from ground up!

do not waste your time, unless you are going to do a complete build from the ground up.

If you look here on the forums, you'll see rollers going anywhere from 2k to 10k depending on the condition of the roller. It's hard to say 5k is a bad deal without seeing the car. Take some photos and post them up.

there is no telling what could be wrong with it. a test drive makes a world of difference. personally, take someone with you from this forum that knows these cars inside and out. unless you are willing to take a gamble, i would do as much research as you can.

i was going to say the same thing... 5k for a roller isn't bad if it's in good shape...in fact it might be a deal.
