well i can tell you about getting rid of te ACV, first what i did was take of the 3 bolts that hold it on, after I unplugged the wires going to it. After that you take the metal tubes running to the back of the block off by unscrewing the 2 bolts there and slide that out. After that you are done but you need block off plates.

Hope that helps

So to upgrade the secondary fuel rail you have to remove the A/p as well?

no but to get to the rail you need to remove the ACV then you can put it back on after you are done. All that is required is bops that will cover the openings after you take it off. I also went to Napa Auto Parts and got some vacumm caps to cap the metal hoses that I unplugged. If you are taking the ACV off for good then you need to take off the air pump

hummm...so the acv can be replaced once the new rail is installed...?

Is it recommended to remove ACV and A/P when changing the 2ndary rail?

I don't think you HAVE to remove the air pump but you certainly need to remove the ACV or you will not be able to get the rail out.

So what benefit is there to removing the A/P other than the weight reduction...?
