ACT HD or XT clutch and which flywheel?

I am making a list of parts needed for a single turbo conversion. Exedy twin plate is a little out of my budget atm and 6 puck clutches are not suitable for everyday driving or driving in traffic. I've searched in the forum and narrowed it down to ACT ZX3-HDSS and ZX3-XT00.

I will be getting something like a GT35R or GT3574 meaning the car will make 400-450whp. I know these two clutches I mentioned above are not ideal for this kind of power but as long as it does the job without killing my leg, I'll be happy.

Which one of these clutches should I get? And which flywheel should I get to go with it? I'm thinking oem or if there is something slightly lighter but not sure

If you are looking for highway pulls and weekend driving ACT ZX3-HDSS is a good choice. I have the 6 puck sprung disk and i don't like it. I am switching over to this kit.

Look into the ACT extreme p/p with their organic full-faced disc. It'll handle 450 wheel with no problems.

Flywheels, I'm partial to those with a replaceable friction surface, like Racing Beat or Mazdaspeed...... I actually have a lightly used Mazdaspeed unit for sale if anyone is interested

Do you know the part number for the clutch you've recommended? Is it the zx3-xt00 or another part nr? How's the pedal feel on that for daily driving?

This is the thing about flywheel, if i'm going to spend $650 on a clutch then $400-500 on a flywheel and some more on counterweight, then i'm not too far from an Exedy twin plate. I'd like to do this a little more cost effectively.

I'd be interested in the Mazdaspeed unit you have for sale but I will collect all the parts on a crate or in a container and ship them over and unfortunately it's illegal to import 2nd hand parts into Turkey.

I am currently in the middle of my single GT35R build. I had a ACT street/strip before I started the swap. I have been searching & polling whether to keep it.

I have decided to stick with it. You can't beat the drive ability. With 405ftlbs capable, it should be fine.

That's good but most of 6 puck users in the forum say it's not pleasant to drive in traffic and that it make some noise. I think I'll get something easier for now.

My HDSS set up lasted about 10k miles. I had the car tuned to 374whp and 304ft/lbs last year and after installing WI and the ported shroud on my GT35R this year I got back on the dyno and after 1 pull with the boost only at ~13psi it started slipping around 5k rpm till redline. ACT's ratings are at the flywheel, I think, and from what I've heard from other people they're a little higher then what they'll actually handle. I've been driving my 6 puck sprung hub now for almost 2 weeks and will be getting back on the dyno this Saturday. I can say it is a little grabbier then anything I've ever really driven but is tolerable and you do get used to it. For me it was worth spending $115, since my friend and I put it in, as opposed to getting a Exedy twin disk. The HD is fairly stiff and I believe the XT is very stiff. I don't think it'd be worth it to go with a SS disk.
