Ac Issues

I tried searching but this Search feature takes out key words sometimes.

Fan blew air as of about a week ago, after a bad battery change it does not blow. If it depress the AC button it doesnt light up, as well as the air circulation button it does not like up eaither, but if I am running the car and hit the Ac button you can hear the engine bog down slightly like its starting but its not blowing air.
Could it be a bad AC relay?

I dont think I can drive around in this Georgia heat any more without some AC, windows just arnt cutting it. Thanks guys.

I had a car that did the same thing, I had to slam the ac control and then it would start, sometimes even didn't light up at all. I took the ac control out and the pigtail was messed up, I guess the previous owner f'kd it up; I replaced that and boom ac was back. Good luck I hope this helps.

It sounds like you have a problem with the in-dash controls if you have no blower, and you're not even getting an A/C light when the button is pressed. Does the light for the recirc button work? Can you hear the flap motors running when you switch from face to feet to defrost?

The light does not work for the Recirc button. When I push the AC button the engine bogs for half second, Nothing happens when I move the selector switch to anything.

I put a new relay in and still nothing.

Sounds like you've got a problem somewhere in the dash with the control electronics or their power supplies or grounds. Time for some quality time with wiring diagrams and a volt-ohm-meter!

Problem solved, The Sunroof fuse was popped but did not looked popped, I only checked it once and I did a final go over of all the fuses and examined them all and sure enough the fuse was busted, I guess if you dont have a sunroof your dash is hooked up to sunroof. Thanks again for all your help guys!

Now just have to recharge the AC so I dont die in this heat!
