i searched but couldnt find what i was looking for..

My question is since i am not going to run AC in my 93 base model, do i need to keep the AC condenser thats under the dash in order to run the heater???

I removed everything AC wise in the engine bay, and the thing your talking about. My heat still works 100%, all you need to do it keep the black platic dusting or w/e it is the surrounds the AC condesor.

Yup - just remove the condenser and cover the access holes.

 

Not to be a snook but....that is the evaporator. Condenser is out front.

I know that some cars that have optional AC have custom ducting to replace the evaporator assembly on cars without AC. I wonder if such a thing exists for the FD, though it would likely be available only in other markets since AC was not optional in the US. Or it may not have been optional anywhere?

 

That is a good question. Because if there WAS a non-A/C option, one would assume the ducting would be different....perhaps.....?

 

I know that the Miata, for example, has a pass-through duct for non AC cars. I have never seen one of these in the classifieds for an FD though (and the demand would probably not be high in any case). Of course, several rubber plugs would possibly suffice.
