AC and dual oil coolers

I have the SBG dual oil cooler kit and I cannot get my low pressure ac line to fit on the side of the compressor. The way the pipe is bent it makes contact with the oil cooler thermostat. It's a large diameter thick aluminum ac line. Its irreplaceable at this point and I'm a bit hesitant to really bend on it to get it to fit. Anyone run into this issue? Anyone try a larger diameter hvac bending tool like a hillman or yellow jacket from Amazon? Any suggestions at this point would be helpful.

Not sure on that one, I installed the SBG oil cooler kit on Jon's car but it doesn't have AC in it at this point.

I can see how that thermostat could be in the way, though.

Is there any movement on the thermostat to where it could be moved a bit to add room?

May want to post some pics up too.

Dale

Crack the bolt that secures the ac line to the compressor. There should be a small amount of play to rotate it down.

I tweaked it about and was able to get it bolted down, but you can see this hose is not going to last. I'm going to have to bend the fitting to the drivers side to get it to clear the thermostat.

Settle down and take a few days to explore options and rethink the puzzle, it helps sometimes. You don’t want to destroy something valuable just for “mods”.

Side note, once you bend it out of the way it no longer reaches the connection on the passenger side.

I'm putting together some ideas. I already have to run an Rx8 condenser because the previous owner trashed the condenser. I'm thinking about just taking the lines or the entire car to a shop and having them make the lines. I already have the condenser mounted and the rx8 fittings for the condenser side. This suction hose would just be a third custom line.
