An alternative to removing the bulb or fiddling with the harness that plugs into the cluster is to unplug the ABS computer. It is in the rear of the car behind the interior hatch trim on driver's side.

each warning icon has its own bulb to illuminate it. if you remove the instrument cluster/hood you can see all the bulbs. turn about 1/2 turn and it will come right out. you may be able to get at it without removing the cluster but im not 100% its held on by 2 phillips screws and a series of metal clips which slide out when you pull up and away on the cluster.

Contrarily, what most people fail to realize is how the actual ABS warning system works.
Realistically, my FIRST thing would be for you to check your brakes. The ABS sensor is tripped by a volumetric drop in brake fluid. When your pads wear, it decreases the amount of *FLUID* volume in the lines (in comparison to the amount that's present in the system, when the brakes are full).
Regardless of wanting the light to go out, or not, that light is an indication of some other issue and should be looked into- my guess would be to check your pads and then fusing/ wiring...
Check the pads first, though.

Actually, it is... Indirectly, of course.
If that doesn't sound true, to you, do this: open the fitting and leak out a couple of ounces of fluid from a rear caliper.
See if the light comes on.
The 94 that I'm building did the exact same thing because the previous person who did the brakes was a stunod and didn't properly bleed out the system.
As well, since the level itself is actually read at a different point (look in your fluid fill reservoir), which you said, it isn't tied DIRECTLY to the ABS distribution...
But the error is the same, as it is in most modern cars that are equipped with ABS.
Do you have a 'Low brake fluid' indicator?
