ABS Unit Flipping Out
First I just drove the car to office depot no crazy boost or nothing. Went in for a min or two came back start the car and realize the abs light is on. I know it wasn't on before and it just came on for no reason at startup again. So I drove it all the way home parked it in the garage and shut down. I hear this whirling noise but I know it isn't the fans because I recognize that sound by now. So I put the hood and realize its coming from the abs unit. I touch it and feel slight vibration. So the car is off the abs unit is still twirling around. Decide to start the car again and see if it would go away if I shut it down again. Doesn't go away and knew if I let it go on it would just fry itself. So I just unplugged the battery and it final went away. SO what happened?

It's probably a stuck relay. There are two on the ABS unit, valve relay and motor relay . They are located under a cover on the ABS. You may be able to free the stuck relay by tapping on the top of each can. May be only a temporary fix though.

Pull the ABS relay
Ever notice that noise when you 1st start moving after start up? Sort of a long crunch/moan. Thats the ABS system arming.
Now fast forward to a couple of my autocross events..........
If you drive extreemly slowly for any distance (through the pits, not on the track, wise ***) the system will not arm & you will get a ABS light along with the ABS motor constantly runing, even with the key off.
What worked for me to reset the sytem was to pull the ABS relay, next to the diagnostic connector. You can figure out which relay to pull when the ABS motor stops running. Give it a 10 sec count & plug it back in.
Moral of the story???? After 1st start up, when your ready to move, you must exceed 5mph (either forward or in reverse) until you hear that noise.

I had the same problem and it drained my battery. I just unplugged the ABS fuse. The ABS light stays on but at least it doesn't drain my battery. Quick fix until I have the time to go out of my way to mess w/ it.

This happened to me when my battery died and I gave it a jump. If you read in the Owner's Manual, it says the ABS module may malfunction temporarily when you give the car a jump. It happens, then goes away. It kept on draining my battery until I gave the car a jump again, and the ABS unit shut up.
It's an FD. It happens

Off the top of my head, the relays are located right next to the front bumper...so at the end of the engine bay. It should be marked (ABS). I'd really try giving the car a jump from another car. Works like a charm
Get some jumper cables and give the car a jump... You may need to do it more than once (like twice or three diff times). I remember mine went away after the 2nd jump. It's in the Owner's Manual...
Since you don't seem to believe me...
RX-7 1994 Owner's Manual, Section 4-15 (in a "Note" box):
"Note: When the engine is jump-started, an unevenness of rpm occurs and the ABS warning light flashes. This is due to a lack of battery capacity and doesn't indicate a malfunction.
Have the battery recharged as soon as possible."
Somehow, jumping the system "evens out the unevenness" that occured, or better yet, may recharge your battery's capacity enough to stop the ABS malfunction (you bet your pants it's a malfunction).
