Our 1994 FD (bought new 9/94) has had the subject annoyance since its mileage passed ~30,000. No problem when under full throttle, but gently going up through 3K rpm would result in that miss consistently. At one time I thought I had fixed it with some improved grounding, but that only lasted a couple of weeks.
Recently I had to replace my Lower Intake Manifold gasket. The original fiberboard type was pretty much deteriorated, causing an air leak that made the minimum idle speed about 1400 - 1500 rpm when warm. Replacing the gasket fixed that, and also as an unexpected side effect the 3K rpm miss is totally gone. Apparently the lean A/F ratio caused by that leak was bad enough to make the engine miss under near-closed throttle, but not under WOT. For all I know the gasket was leaking clear back at 30 K miles, but at that time it wasn't bad enough to affect idle speed. I guess it just got worse with time (we now have 99.8 K miles on the car).
Just thought this info might be useful to someone.
