99spec rebar question

Is the 99spec rebar completely different from the 94? I have a replica 99spec front bumper on now, but no rebar...going to the paint shop soon, so I was just wondering if my 94 would work

Yes, your 94 will work but you need to enlarge the openings for the lights.

Found it, luckily I didn't have to search through your 24000 post! Thanks for the pics, I get what you are saying now

Goodfella,

In regards to making the holes bigger on the rebar, How accurately do you need to do the cuts? Do you just need to make them wide enough to accept the new lights? Is there room for error? Thank you

If you want to use the 99 spec fog lights the rebar has the tabs for fitment. If not, then what they said

IIRC, if you open them up about 1 inch in each direction that will be sufficient. Not a bad idea to test fit a couple of times and cut as little as possible. Regardless, the usdm rebar provides more than enough support. I've seen some hack jobs where lazy body shop SOBs literally cut the left 1/3rd and right 1/3rd completely off, which had me shaking my head.
