I thought you needed to add at least a fuel computer. I may be wrong, but I thought I read that somewhere. It seems that these are more efficient, thus you boost more and you need either more fuel or boost control. Of course, I may be all wet.

The 99 turbos use different turbine and compressor whells and Some have a special abraidable coating But all are a direct bolt in replacement for the 93-98 turbos. Their Higher efficiency means they produce lower intake charge temps for a given boost level. As long as you maintain stock boost levels (ie less than 12psi) you don't need a new ecu. or fuel computer.

Many RX-7 shops can get them for you through distributors. Talk to a local rotary expert (NOT your Mazda dealership) and he might be able to set you up. They ain't cheap ... $3000-4000 depending on who you get them through. And don't forget .. if you're going to replace the turbos and make them last, you should replace all the oil and coolant lines. That ain't cheap either ...
