'99 Turbo and Efini Y-Pipe Fit

Morning All, Got the '99 turbos from RP cause the cupholder (and I) wanted the car going asap. Already had the new Y-pipe. Durn those '99s are purty! Then I hurt my back beginning of last weekend and couldn't work on it. Finally decided to try Sun evening.

Test fit - oil inlet and T2 outlet lined up perfectly, T1 oil outlet not quite lined up but within the bend range of the hard line. Also checked the new Y-pipe fit on the turbo outlets - nice fit, no probs. Guess there is no need to check the crossover pipe.... Bad assumption, my excuse is my back was still hurting, and I could just tap the housings if needed, right?

Wrong! Found out last night the crossover pipe hits the alternator, which is currently all the way down with the belt removed. Maybe a diff between the '93s and the '99s? Well, just tap the housings around the C-clips....

Wrong! The '99s don't have C-clips. They have retaining tabs held by bolts. I REALLY don't want to have to take the turbos off again to loosen all the bolts.

So, Anyone messed with the '99 turbo housing placement? Can they be tapped into place around the bolted retainers? I may try loosening as many bolts as I can, then try to tap the housings into alignment. I REALLY don't want to have to pull the turbos again...

Note 1: got the old %^^*() SR turbos out without removing the EGR, upper radiator hose, or bottom 1" coolant hose. Tight fit though, and I did have the cupholder helping to push lines. Got the new ones in the same way, but it didn't have the precontrol actuator installed, so it was easier.

Note 2: The Y neck bottom hose fitting hit the hard coolant intake line. Taking a cue from someone else (forgot who, but thanks) on pill housing removal, I got a big pliers and rotated the fitting till it was clear.

Anyway, any '99 housing adjustment info welcome!
