Smile 99' Tail Light Kouki Conversion Completed

Finally done w/ 99' Spec tail light conversion on my 7!! Tools/materials used as many might already know were Heat gun, compass tool, contact paper, hobby knife, satin black spray paint, Philips & flat head screw driver & some masking tape & last patience lol.. I'm just glad to have it all set now just wanted to share since I haven't posted in a while. I was trying to upload more pics, but not letting through my phone, sorry guys..

Japan cars had tail lights like that in '96, but nice job either way!

They are quite easy to do- the most time consuming part is separating the glued halves with a heat gun, and then reassembling the halves with the glue melted afterwards and getting them to seal up again perfectly.

I just did a set for a friend's car, and this would have been about the fourth set I have done over about 6 years. I was not very good at my very first set, but I am confident to do them now

Looks great! Taking on this project myself soon.

Did you just reuse the factory glue? I hear some people supplement it with marine grade glue?
