99 spec turbos. Whats the difference.

Can someone tell me how much cfm the stock 94's flow and at what psi? Now tell me what the difference is with the 99's. How much more power can you get out of the 99's.
thanks guys.

The only thing I know is that the exhaust manifold is different, probably ported.

Actually the 99 spec turbos are smaller than the stock 93-95 twins. They actually machine the impeller blades into the housing so there is minimal clearence. The efficiancy goes up considerbly due to the close tolerances and less rotating mass. This means quciker spool and higher boost pressures as well as some added volume. They are very nice. I would buy a set but most of the reasons people go single are to simplify the problematic sequential set up.

I actually hear that in japan most tuners are keeping the stock twin turbos in 99 and newer FD's rather than going single because they are a lot more effiecient than the ones we have here. Not only do they put out more power, but they are stronger and more reliable as well. The differences as someone else noted is the larger exhaust manifold. I know that stock twins cost about $3200 now for a new set of turbos from a mazda dealer while the 99 spec turbos go for about $3100 from mazda competition. If you don't wanna go single this is a good alternative

well tell me this. How much power can you get out of the 94's respectively. And with the same mods tell me what you could get out of the 99's.
thanks guys. I love the seq. setup. But understand the problems. I had a supra and it is alot of lines and actuators to keep up with.

99 spec engine and turbines are big changes.

As for 99 turbine, it has 'abradable seal' in the intake housing.

It makes better response and accurate clearance.
The thrust bearing has been changed to better one.
99 spec turbine isn't easy to break.

But, it is just stock turbine.

It is said in Japan that if you want long life and high reliability,
max power shoud be up to 370HP and 0.95 bar boost with stock turbines.
