99 spec turbos and dyno number...what's out there
I am waiting for my engine to be rebuilt and I have seen such a wide range of dyno numbers posted on this forum.
could those people with the 99spec turbos post there boost, mods, and dyno numbers...that would be great.

7 racer, I just dyno tuned this past Sunday (Nov 2) @ Rx7 Store with newly installed straight-through (nonresonated) midpipe (removed air pump). See my sig for the rest of the mods. Mustang Dyno rwhp is 306 @ 6750 rpm, 273 lb.ft @ 4750 rpm, 1.05 to 1.15 kg/cm^2 (15-16 psi) from J-spec twins. This number was after 7 to 10 hard dyno pulls (seriously heat-soaked). Also the Mustang Dyno apparently reports more conservative rwhp than the DynoJet which is what most people's rwhp numbers come from.
Tim Benton reported 360 rwhp with similar mods to mine. I presume he used a DynoJet dynamometer?

yeah...it is...and its the dip that says more tuning is needed in order to smooth out the transition.
look at my dyno sheets and you can see how smooth xs was able to get it. see the sig.

the_glass_man: is that the stock vs. j-spec 280hp turbos comparison ? Is there really 100hp difference at 3000RPM ?
Or am I reading it wrong ?
If it is - then its a kickass
And I know which turbos will be on my car next, haha...
