PS. just do what i did... make really good firends with some well known cops and watch the faces of the rookies when you call them and they are on your side!!!

Or, do what I am doing and become one
I talked to my uncle about the rotor lights (he's a city police officer) and he said as long as they glow red and are visible from a distance it doesn't really matter what you do to them. He liked the rotor shaped ones (although he doesn't know anything about rotaries) and said that the chances of getting pulled AND ticketed for them are like one in a billion and would require an officer that knew what the lights were supposed to look like in the first place.
They are less "modified" than those guys that have the Dodge Ram on their tail lights and I don't think they get hassled do they? I have also seen some bowties on some Chevy truck taillights...
Come on, this should be a no-brainer. If companies can legally sell hundreds of aftermarket "Altezza" variations for cars, it should be obvious that there's no way you can be cited for changing the configuration of your tail lights, as long as they meet the basic requirements.
If there were DOT regulations for tail light configurations, Corvettes couldn't use two red lights per side for both brake and turn signals while other cars have a separate amber turn signal, or vice versa. Only on the Euro tail lights is there a separate amber segment for the turn signals.

Brake lights are mandatory, obviously, and have to be red, but the number per side and configuration or shape are not dictated by law. Turn signals can be red or amber, but the number and configuration are not dictated by law either. All the lights on one side can flash (Corvette), only the outer-most light can flash (FD), or you can even have sequential illumination of the taillights from inside to outside (early model Cougar-style).

ok, here it goes.. i think my final set of light conversion:
its going to be a group buy thing... they normaly cost $80+20 for re-sealing + shipping to and from me!...
if i get 10+ people to send it at the same time so i do all of them together, it will cost either $70 or free shipping back! you choose one. either $10 off or free shipping back to you. the more people that join, the more money you get back. for every 5 people after that, i knock off $5 and so on. if i could get as many as 20, the cost will go down to $60 so i will start the list. pm me or tell me you want in on the thread!!!
LAST SETs IM DOING!!

uos ground... it will get to you in 1 day.... you are in the same state! i have shipped there before. if you or anyone wants in, just recopy the list and add you name to it. thanks
There's a better semi-daylight pic of mine. I have new pictures up of them (all are here: http://www.brentroad.com/photo_folde...Lights&filter= ).
I can't speak for the 99-spec lights but my rotor lights are awesome. The quality is amazing. I couldn't even tell that they had been taken apart and the inside of the lights look flawless. If he can do as good of work on his second set of rotor lights then I'm sure his work on the circles, that he's done a lot of, is simply amazing. I have no complaints with my lights and I think they were worth the money. If I hadn't had mine already done by him I'd be jumping on the chance to get them now since this is his last run.
