I'm sure someone does, if not i'm sure there are people just a little bit north of you that'll do them too. But you should try posting in the west section for best results.

or just buy one from ebay. there's always someone selling the JDM original ones for average $100 to $300. depending on the seller. I got mine for $140 after shipping and it was in great condition. You ensure the authentic look versus the chance of screwing up the edges of the circle if u were to open it up and try to paint the inside yourself.

The circle tails started in 1996 in Japan.

My friend did, and I don't know the details, but he says it was a good decision. I'm actually a little frustrated that I can't understand anything about my car. I'm a good driver, but figuring out the car has always been too difficult for me

Since we are reviving old threads….

I attempted to do the conversion back in 2010 or so and being a stupid 19 year old I warped the outer lenses.

Hear me out before you flame me…. Does anyone know if these hideous knock off housing lenses could be removed and put on an OE housing?

It would appear the days of 99 spec housings being on ebay for $100-300 are long gone.

From the pictures i cant tell if they are similar or totally different.

Maybe that's okay for a girl, but I feel silly constantly asking my guy friends for help. I couldn't even get the interior LED lights installed, even though everyone thinks it's an easy task. What do you guys think? Should I do some reading, or is there any courses out there? IDK, I just want to feel confident in this endeavor. Any suggestions? I'm desperate!

Your friend did what exactly… taillight conversion?
That’s a pretty involve modification imo. To the extent that, some years ago there were a couple of members who with practice and experience were doing it as a side-gig for other members. So don’t beat yourself up too bad for not being comfortable taking it on.
Instead of worrying about modding taillights and installing LEDs, maybe just focus on learning to maintain the car properly if you want to “figure out the car”. Download the Factory Service Manual and learn the search function and you’ll ‘understand the car’.
