I mean is it the overlays for the gauges or are people using different colored bulbs? or both?

so how are they shinning blue? is that the actual overlay that is making it shine blue. How does it shine blue through the red film. Maybe there is something I am missing on this. anyone want to set me straight on this?

Not sure exactly. There are no bulbs involved and the overlays disable/block the lighting from the stock guages so I'm not sure how they are being lit.
