We should be able to get the info in english.. Hell the car was sold in England and Australia.

Also I can host the files if needed. I have the bandwidth and space on my domain.

LOL Mazda Japan straight hits the delete button when they see English man. For real lol. I'd love to talk to ANYONE who's gotten a response from them

Personally I would love to find a Series 8 workshop manual...
It can be done...I'm almost certain you can purchase it from 'em. Want me to get a quote for it?

Good news guys. The parts diagram is in English indeed. I'm working on getting Series 7 & 8. They have it online overseas, not on CD or something like that. So we're probably going to have to print it out and scan it page by page to get it online So Don, I think that answers your question. It won't be an actual fiche. No one uses that crap anymore lol.

Oh and we're good to go for getting discounts on parts. Now final two steps: getting the parts diagram (prob have Kinkos scan it or something...I sure don't have time to scan a few hundred pages), and working out the deal w/ shipping large items.

I'll keep ya guys posted.

Ramy,

I may have missed something here, but if the manual is online, why would you have to print it out and then scan it back in. I'm sure if someone has access to it online, they could just save the pics and email them, couldn't they? What have I missed?

Also, in case you need a hand, the parts guy at my local Mazda dealer orders JDM MX-5 stuff all the time. He's good friends with the Regional Parts Manager for the southeast (or something to that effect). But basically, he can get anything that Mazda makes as long as I can supply a part number.

Joe,

Have you seen the computers these guys use? They're horrible. They don't have very many applications at all - let alone the ability to save and email. At least not the ones I've seen. If there's a way I can get it in an electronic format, I'll obviously opt to do that. If not, then it's gonna have to get printed.

Thanks for the heads up on the help. I'll def. let you know if I need it. But so far so good. Hopefully I'll be able to offer much lower prices than a dealer would be able to. Plus, it takes them quite a while to get parts. I'm getting parts in 4 days flat (as long as they're reasonably sized ie shipping is reasonable).

Thanks
~Ramy

Will do. Already emailed asking for a quote. Series 7 and 8.

If this goes through, I'mma hafta start a website or something to take the orders automatically. Streamline the process. FDNewbie.com LOL

It might help if the page you were on even had the hood on it That's the front bumper. The page you're looking for will most probably look something like this (see the attachment below). Except this is from a service manual, so it doesn't list anything but servicable parts. Nonetheless, the pic will be very similar, and it'll have labels and #s for the various stickers under the hood (vacuum hose diagram, freon type, etc). You're definitely in the correct section (body parts), just the wrong page.

If it's too much trouble, don't worry about it. I put the vacuum hose diagram as the #1 priority on my list

Sure that would be good. I am slightly suprised that some kind soul has not already posted on the web in PDF format like the Nissan Skyline and Silvia manuals. But yeah - a quote would be good.

Cheers

Yea it is surprising that this hasn't been done yet. I did bring this up a few months back, and got ZERO response. But that's prob cuz it was in the interior/exterior/audio section

BTW, apparently Mazdaformance shut down shop, so the parts manual that was on their website is gone. But it's still up on www.iluvmyrx7.com if anyone is interested

fd3s7007, I found the label on the 93 - 95 parts diagram. My apologies...it wasn't listed under body, then hood. It's under the "Caution Plates & Labels" section. Good luck reading that in Japanese

Here's what the page looks like:

Oh so it was just the venacular that I was messed up on. Sorry for the confusion since I thought you were referring to the old fishe I used back when I was in college (89-93) at the library.

Here's what the page looks like:
I would expect the number codes to be the same. so section 6930 - 69-044A should get you down to the right section in any language

Steve,

Great page! Thanks for the link! That definitely helps a bit... but unfortunately that's definitely an abridged version of the parts diagram/catalogue But it's definitely a start!

Thanks!

WOW. I dunno why the FSM is so freakin expensive, but regular price is $366.29. My price is $316.98. I'm gonna look further into why it's so expensive.

Oh and I'd suggest - simply due to cost - that a bunch of us chip in, buy one, and someone on the forum offered to have it scanned, so we can have it readily available online for use 24/7.

I like this idea. Overall I think it is a small investment to look after the health of you car.

Cheers,
