99+ Parts Fishe

Does anyone have or know where a 99+ parts fishe can be found? And also, would it be in English?

Thanks

I've never seen one about. Big problem would be finding an English copy - they're likely all Japanese.

Well, even if we obtained a Japanese copy, I'm sure there's someone who could translate and convert over to English. And also, I have a friend who teaches Japanese exchange students, a classroom of possible translators.

fd3s7007, that's exactly what we're looking for. But before anyone goes off trying to translate things...gimme a few days. I may be able to come up w/ an English one. It would definitely be a lot easier I'm also trying to get an English '96 and up FSM (and put it up on the web), as HDP had inquired about. I dunno how that would help lol...but all I know is I can get it haha. Re: the FSMs, I got this from my overseas contact: "Series 1 and 2 ones can be obtained easily enough; Series 3 seems to be a bit harder but doable." My RX-7 History is a bit shaky, but which series correspond to what? haha. Or is "Series" here being used interchangeably w/ "Generation" ? Better check that out...

Re: the parts diagram, I suggested this on another thread, but didn't get much response. I was suggesting we get a parts fiche in English, make it readily available for forum members. We'd use it as a resource, to look up parts numbers etc. Of course, you can't order these parts from Mazda US, BUT...here's the good part: I have an overseas counterpart I already use as a direct parts connection w/ Nismo Japan (for the Skylines we import), and they'd be more than willing to provide the same service for Mazda Japan parts. I can take orders by part number, and we'd get a 20% discount on all parts (in exchange for volume sales), vioala: we have our own direct Mazda Japan connection. Parts can be obtained in as little as 4 days!

Lemme know what you guys think

IIRC

series 6 = '93 - '95
series 7 = '95 - '98
series 8 = '99 - '02

I'm guessing your guy means 93 - 95 is series 1 and so on...

That sounds like a great idea Ramy, if you could do that it might be a fairly successful small business, and you would be doing a lot of people a great service in finding these parts. now that Jason is gone who can we go to that is dependable?

I finally got all the core parts I needed, but it was painstaking and took nearly 4 months to source all the parts I had to have to assure correct fitment and compatibility with all my parts.

if you can get this rolling good luck.

Jason, I think you're right re: the Series. I double checked w/ my contact overseas, and clarified that I'm inquiring about the 3rd gen RX7, from 96 and up. I'll tell 'em Series 7 & 8.

Don, can you elaborate on the need for an FSM? Wanna see if it's something to pursue or not.

rotarypower101, I hope it works out as well. I'm getting Nismo parts like crazy, so I might as well help the community I care about the most - Rotorheads I have an idea or two that could really help w/ shipping large items (much like I already have w/ Nismo)...but I won't say until I'm sure.

Right now, I'd really like to get feedback re: whether or not this is going to be worthwhile. Because if we promise someone overseas w/ a good bit of sales in parts in exchange for wholesale prices/discount on parts, I'd need to make sure I can deliver.

Well, I really wouldn't have a need for a 99 FSM only the parts fishe. The mechanics of my car would remain 93-95 and I have a 93 FSM.

If the pricing is decent, I'll spring for a set of microfiche and manuals.

Oh I wasn't planning on taking it and hogging it. I'd like to see how much it'll run me, and if it's real cheap, I'll just pay for it. If it's a bit more, maybe a couple of us could pitch in. I was thinking I'd find someone who would be so kind as to host it (just like the other FSMs and parts diagrams are hosted), and it would be available for free to all. I have no intention of keeping the diagram to myself. I'm offering my services, not forcing you to go through me BUT, I can tell you this...if things go as planned, given the prices I'll be able to get on parts, the incredibly fast delivery times, and POSSIBLY little to no shipping costs on large items, you may very well not WANT to go through anyone BUT me

Right now, w/ the Nismo parts connection I have, I get 20% off all parts, 4 day delivery on anything, and larger items (ie large items that are expensive to ship) are delivered slow but FREE. You only pay for shipping within the US.

fdnewbie i'd really appreciate any sort of info you have on the 99 spec vacuum diagrams. i've tried everywhere with no luck. The closest thing was the parts diagram and even then its rather vague.

Also does anyone still want me to post up 99 parts diagrams and numbers?

Hmm...I'll ask. You looking for say, the vacuum diagram that's on a sticker under the hood? But on a 99spec FD?

Also does anyone still want me to post up 99 parts diagrams and numbers?
I'm cool for now...cuz I wanna see if I can get it in English. But if anyone else wants to look up something now NOW, go for it!

BTW...on that parts diagram (I know it's not in English), but do you think you can find the hood and then the part numbers for the stickers? I'd imagine it has the hose diagram on the underside of the hood as well (IF that's the hose diagram you're looking for). Cuz if you get me the part number, I can prob just order you the sticker now.

Yea I'm familiar w/ the 99spec black box. But my guess is (and hopefully I'm right) that they placed the updated vacuum hose diagram on the underside of the hood on the 99spec FDs. It may not tell you which one is the vacuum hose diagram (there are a few stickers on the underside of the hood I believe), but we can always just get all the stickers (I'm sure they're real cheap). If not, I'll just ask specifically for the vacuum hose diagram.

How would you view the microfiche? I don't even think the public library has a microfiche viewer anymore. Everything has been converted to computer files.
