Wow... so why would we really need a FSM? The mechanics are going to be similar if not the same as pre-99 spec. The only thing I would be interested in is part number(s) for post-96 spec.

Don, some ppl expressed interest in an FSM. I have on real use for it, but hey, why not make everything we can available? It can't hurt... But you're right, a complete parts diagram catalogue is where the money's at.

Ramy,

Where did you get this price from? I will see what I can come up with and let you know, it may take alittle bit of time. Did you make anything out on the Parts fische?

Ramy,

I'd be willing to scan and host the manuals, as well as making a contribution to the purchase.

I'd totally chip in on a '99+ shop manual - count me in.

I think this is a case where people should chip in for the good of the community. If we get a bunch of people to chip in $20 that would defray the costs for Ramy, and everyone from now on would have access to that information.

Question EPC Matsuda CD?

I just remembered... I have a couple of discs a friend who worked for a Mazda dealership gave me. "Electronic Parts Catalog" January 24, 2003, EPC MUA353 and EPC MUA253. I have no idea what's on them because it requires special software to read them.

Thanks a lot for the offer to chip in guys. I may jump on that offer. Gimme a few...I'm waiting to hear back from my guys about the parts diagram catalogue, and I'd also like a clarification as to why the FSM is so expensive... that's leaving me The US one is only $120...

Dom, this is my guess, but from what you're saying (Electronic Parts Catalog), this is what I think it is.

They often make 2 versions of the FSMs. One is complete, and is on paper. Another is in a binder format, and that version, they usually leave off the Electronics from. Don't ask me why lol. Ditto w/ the US FSM. I just confirmed this w/ Ray. The electronics portion is completely left off from the bound version. So maybe it's available as a CD addition, or even that the FSMs are completely electronic (ie on CD) in later years, and so the Electronic section is available as a separate set of CDs. That make any sense?

I think the main reason for the FSM being seperated like that is because of the size of it. Look at how thick the small one is. You would have to have a 6-ring binder for that (pun).

Plus it's easier to organize that way for the genius crew at the dealerships. (pun)

One reason for the '99 plus FSM is for people trying to support the black box solenoid controls.

Mazda may kill us for copyright infringement; but then we are using for educational enrichment on our FD's on for sale. I support a group buy of one set Parts and FSM and posting a scanned version.

Does anyone know who is still hosting a downloaded file for the Adobe parts files that used to be on Iluvmyrx7.com? My disc finally bit the dust.
