'99 front end owners

Just to make sure...

What are you doing to mount your front license plate? I heard from someone that you can buy a mounting piece from MazdaComp so you can screw the plate in. I don't want to risk getting a ticket.

The '99 spec front comes with a plate holder... I'm confused...

me too... my 99 front end has a plate holder. The replica 99 front ends do not..

yeah, you can tell its a 99 bumper cause the front is actually flat where you mount the front end.

Yes, but you cannot screw the plate directly into the bumper. I think you need a back piece or something. Anyone know?

If anything, it should be some type of plastic plug that allows a screw to bolt into. I don't know because I don't have one, but I suspect that would be the case. If not, cut small square holes where the screws belong and install two square license plate plastic clips to screw into.

Maybe this will help. On my old ride, I just went and bought 2 L-shape brackets and screwed them in the top part of the center hole of my front bumper. It worked great and you couldn't see the 2 holes unless you were lying on the ground.
