Apexi N1 silencer

I've got an Apexi N1 /w silencer. I'm not a big fan...

I have the non-sequential and w/o the silencer it will over boost beyond my stock intercooler and Petit computer can handle.

With the silencer in, I never have a problem with the wastegaste keeping up... but I am down power and it sounds bad (not that bad).

Are there baffles or something I can put in the muffler to experient with flow? I'd rather not drill holes in the silencer because it may weaken the metal.

Thanks, Thanh

Yeah, if you already have a mid-pipe, since you already have a pettit ecu (Greatest ECU in the world), you could try a resonated mid-pipe. Or, a high-flow cat maybe.

i put a restrictor in my intake so i could keep the apex gt spec + midpipe sound without boost creep. you might want to try something like that. i could provide more details if you want.

My setup:
Apexi Power Intake
Street Port Motor
Non sequential /w ported wastegate
Stock IC
DP,MP, into an N1 /w silencer
Manual boost controller
Pulleys
clutch, cooling system upgrades

Restrictor in the intake???? Please elaborate.

With the Apexi silencer out, the boost spool time is very small compared to it /w the silencer in. I feel more power w/o the tip and it sounds damn awesome. Almost like that JUN Supra but with a rotary bite. Just mean.

I'd think an intake restrictor would be easier to make than an exhaust restictor. I thought about drilling 2 1" diameter holes into the silencer. A bit ghetto...

I have N1 Dual and I know what you mean.. i'm running seq twins, full exhaust..

My car is loud.. with silencer.. its little better..

But I also have boost spikes without the silencers.. also spools quicker by couple of hundred RPM..

My wastegate is already ported. It's the stockers, so it's internal, correct? What a PIA, but I guess it has its reasons.

LOL!!! I meant that for when the Power FC is not yet within financial reach. You can't go wrong buying one of these from someone for $400-450 bucks. That's all. Sheesh!!!
