'99 front-end belly pan parts?
*note: I tried to delete this thread as I probably should have posted in the "exterior" forum, but I could not delete..oh well....
I have a '99 J-Spec front end on my '93. I put it on a couple of years ago, but I was missing a few part from the car when I put it on. I do not have the belly pan pieces that go under where the oil coolers are on the corners. Does anyone know if these parts are different for the '99 front? I looked at another car and I cannot tell if these corner pieces are the same for '99 and the origianl US parts.
Bottom line I want to install these pieces now, but I don't want to buy original parts if they don't fit. Also, if the originals don't fit I'm looking for some guidance on where to find the right '99 parts. If someone knows a part number and source I would be grateful.
thanks,
Eric

If your talking about the under engine pan for the radiator to force air in I believe that they are the same. But you might as well get a 99 because they are about 50 bucks cheaper. I have a 99 under pan on my 93 but with the stock front bumper so it fits to that but Im pretty sure a 93 would work for the 99. But thats all the info I can give out. The 99 fits on the 93 bumper but I dont know about the 93 fitting on a 99 bumper. Good luck.

NO they are not the same. The 99 spec part does not have that center section in it, also there are special 99 spec brake/oil cooler ducts on the side.
I ordered mine from Malloy (Ray) and got them quick...however this was the one time Ray was wrong as he stated that the 93-96 were the same as the 99's...
If you goto Mazdamotorsports.com website and you have an account you can order the 99 parts. One of my friends here in Dallas just got the brake/oil cooler ducts and he says they fit and duct much better.

I think so....everytime I ask them the answer is always "sure" and then some clicks as he searches for the info on the computer...
If you are a member you can see the available parts...anything more than that, i.e. center guage cluster, I guess you would have to ask...
on the website I have seen the front bumper, airdam, fog lights, turn lights, rear wing, emblems...
They didn't have the 99spec turbos listed I don't think but when asked they provided a price.

Thanks everyone for the responses.
Unfortunately I do not have a login for the mazdaspeed catalog. Drat!
I talked to a Mazdaspeed guy today at Laguna Seca and he said the best source for parts is Corksport. Is this true? I wish I had part numbers or drawings to make sure I was getting the right things.
What I have now is a new original '93 center belly pan. What I never had was the corner pieces that look to support the airdam/bumper on the corners ...these also appear to screw into and support the inner fender wells.
So what I think I am reading is that I need a new '99 belly pan that is one piece? This covers the center and corners and everything?
I saw that there is a Mazdaspeed belly pan that is one piece, but I do not know if this is original. It also looked like it was sorta fat. (I need to keep my current clearance for street driving).
Oil and brake ducts would also be a good thing. It's funny that the '99 front kits never mentioned these other parts nor do you see them advertised.
Thanks for the replies

eshumac...
all you have to do is autocross your car once then submit the results...you can get access AND the racers discount.
You only need to submit one more race result for the rest of the year.
I will try to take a screen shot of the catalog page for you
