Do the octane boost upgrade. I think your supposed to put like 2 cups of sand in each tank of gas. Good Luck!

I'd go for a Fluidyne radiator and a downpipe. You can't go wrong with those, and your car will run a lot cooler. After that, maybe an exhaust, intake and computer upgrade.
Good luck with your new FD, and have fun.

I paid $11,500 for my '93 RX-7 with 65000 miles on it. Of course, it had a new engine with 300 miles.

living in sacramento i would get the fluidyne radiator, eliminate the ast, and put on downpipe before anything else. of course, i had the unfortunate experience of having my radiator crack while in sacramento so maybe i'm a little biased

Do yourself a favor

Don't even think of mods untill you read all you can on this forum...I.E. use the "search" feature alot or you'll get flammed. Also, Back order all the Sport compact car mags that had write ups on their FD. They spent a long time explaining what steps are necessary before even thinking of moding.

Do waste your 95 by slapping all kinds of sh*t on it and thinking it will go faster. Formulate a plan....what the hell do you want to do with this car....track....drag....street...show...what, what , what????

The guys...hmm and gals on this forum know more sh*t about the FD than I would ever hope of knowing so they are a great resource.

We seem to get several "new" FD owners who sound scarier than sh*t b/c all they want to do is bolt this piece of sh*t on to their FD to make it go faster....next post we get from them is ...".ohhh I'm such a dumba**, I moded my car and now it sits in my front yard with a dead motor"...och!!!

No warranty is a gaurantee that it will cover being a dumba** so be careful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

IMHO

95 rx7 draguer

When i was at rose imports i started it up and it smoked real bad for like 30 minutes and also during the test drive. The car had a rough idle and was just to scratched up . Anyways congratulations on your 95 rx7 and be safe. I have a 1993 RX7 with tons of mods. If you want to hang out sometime and check out my ride just email me. spankybad@aol.com

I disagree with these checkpoint characters. A greddy turbotimer is less than 100 bucks. Turbos are much more. Get a turbotimer. Get a boost gauge, and don't waste the $ on a BOV...the stocker is fine. The only advantage (at near stock boost) that I know of for a greddy or hks is that they sound cool. I'm kinda modified and w/the open intake can hear my stock BOV while driving. Seems like you have a lot of ?s...PM me your # and I can call you and bestow my wealth of knowledge on you if you'd like .

Checkpoint is right on this one and turbotimers are a waste of money if you're running stock turbos. Reason being the stock turbos are watercooled. If you actually want to get something of value and not waste it on a turbo timer, you can do the fan mod or replace the turbo coolant lines.

Also, consensus on the Big List has long been that turbo timers are a waste of $$$.

congrats on car, and yeah that is a pretty good price for a 1995, seeing as they are so rare

get a boost gauge, & downpipe and do the 60k tune up, screw the rest, and drive it like a ***** at a carnival.
