Gotta buy a new solenoid man, they're pretty fragile. Costs about 50 bucks I think.

solenoids

I went through this 2 days ago and still don't have the car back together. I had a bunch of nipples break off. Some were already broken before I started on the project. The heat and time and really gotten to them.

Anyway here are the part numbers and approximate prices:
G: 1482 13 240 $56.50

The other one on the rack with the little circular filter is
N390 18 741 $59.80

I&J the two braketed together N3A1 20 285 $133.20

good luck. I just elected to replace all the solenoids with the hoses.

If it is G then thats the one that controls the double throttle actuator. Why don't you just remove your double throttle butterflies while you are at it. Then you won't even need that solinoid?

Ok, everyone stop hyperventilating. The solenoids are the same as the first and second gen's so all you need to do is go to a junkyard and pull some off any rx7. Just make sure they match as far as where the nipples are, how many nipples, whether there is a filter, etc. I would also recommend testing them before you buy. If you can get them cheap enough, get a handful of them. You never know when you might need them.

agreed

I agree with joemamma, I'm starting to stock pile them. The ones I'm getting off of junked or wrecked cars are in better shape than mine. I have a 12 volt battery that I use for my cave diving light and I just hook up a couple of alligator clips to the solenoid and test it to make sure it works, then I put a vacuum pump on them. 2nd generations are easy to find.

I don't know if this is causing my problem or not but on me car the one with the hose going up to a breather was broken so I took one with the breather attached off of a second gen and cut the breather off. It looks the same and has the same part number molded into it, but one did have numers staped on it. Will this work?
