i HAD one. . . you might be thinking of that. i never used it. its a nice intercooler, but its very thick and will not fit without messing with the front bumper cover.

there is a place that you can send it to as well that messes with the end tanks in order to make it more efficient. they did pretty good really. i might look into this in the future. . . again. haha.

it can be done. I saw a thread about it from guy called eurodave or something like that, do a search on 944 ic. He posted some pics of it as smic. It looks pretty good. It doesn't look hard to do it but you will have to relocate the battery and make custom pipes.

im wondering how a dual 944 setup would work with the new aspec twins. what if they were stacked on top of each other? that might be nice. if i remember right, two would fit in there. . . very snugly though. haha.

it can be done, but the core is TOO thick to effectively blow air through without a custom fan hooked up to it.

Additionally, you'll have to custom fabricate a duct to work with it.

ask yourself what's your time worth. Is the difference in price between that and a used SMIC worth the HOURS and HOURS you'll spend fabricating?

actually it would be a puller fan working in conjunction with the air duct fed from the front similar to a radiator setup.... car moves foward airs flows in fans help pull air through. and the fabrication is minimal since the 944 air duct jsut has to be modified its about 50 bucks from porsche. kinda like the air duct on our stock intercoolers that feed to the front bumper...... its all very easy if i can sell my NPR setup.
