94 rx7 wiring harness?
Hi are the 93 and 94 rx7 chassis harnesses the same. I know the 93 and 94 rx7 chassis harnes/ring harness have different part numbers but are they the same or close to being the sane. What I have is a 94 rx7 that is auto and I want to convert it to manual but I need to find out if the 93 rx7 chassis harness will fit in the 94.

There might be some more connectors for the passenger side airbag.
In general, it should be close enough to work, maybe needing some minor tweaks if that.

I'm just trying to imagine any electrical difference between the 94 and 93 cars, there isn't much. I think the center channel amp for the stereo was re-located. Under the hood I can't think of anything in particular.

Engine harness: The yellow plugs that connect to the ecu are the same yes. The white plug that attaches to the dash harness and the blue plug that attaches to the front harness are completely different.
Front harness (wraps from fender to fender): in the passener foot well where the harness comes through there is a blue plug that the engine harness attaches to. This plug is different for AT/MT.
Dash harness: the harness under the dash that runs along the firewall, NOT the one tangled up in the dash, has a different plug on it as well. It can be found in the area that the engine harness comes through the firewall and into the cabin. Its a white plug that attaches the engine harness to the dash harness.
Now, you have 2 options for an MT conversion as far as wiring goes.
A. There is a diy on how to repin/rewire the AT plugs to work with the MT plugs. So you would have an MT engine harness and an AT front and dash harness. You have to use an MT engine harness since the transmission plugs are completely different.
B. Pull the dash harness, pull the front harness and swap them with their MT counterparts. This way you have basically a full conversion. I did it this way.
