Heard that they are different, will a '94-'95 fit on a '93?

No, I'm asking because I need a master cylinder and someone here has a '94, I wonder if it fits on my '93...

From my understanding the only difference is the spring tension but i was told that it was so minimal that it was worth mentioning and that was told to me by mazdatrix since i just finished replacing it as well. hope this helps

They do have different part numbers but are interchangeable, the 94-95 is actually $30-ish cheaper than the 93

If it's cheaper they most likely did some upgrades to the part and made far more of the later design, that's why it's cheaper.

I don't see any reason not to use the newer part.
