There are no tranny mount in a FD. We have PPF(Power Plant Frame) which is like a back bone that connect the tranny to the diff.

Also OP's motor mounts could be bad. This will cause lots of movement in the trans as well.

I could show you how to make 3 set of engine mounts made out of polyurethane for like $90. Then sell the other 2 set and make your money back + some.

when im driving its fine but when i let go of the gas cruising in like 2nd gear the tranny starts bouncing around in a way.
it sounds like a bad mount or bad u joints in a driveshaft.
But scince there are no mounts any body know what it could be.

Motor mounts and/or diff mounts. Pretty common.

Interesting. I could use some new mounts especially while my motor is out & making my own would be a good time.

If you look for an old post made by Damian it has a "how-to" for this. The only thing that will make this an issue (but not impossible) are the earlier 93 mounts. There is one mount that has a hump where the actual mount goes so you have to carve that part of the polyurethane. The later ones are perfect because they don't have that hump.

Here is the how to

Chances are the PPF is cracked if there is alot of noise and the shifter bounces up and down. If not then the motor and diff mounts are worn. Install new poly diff mounts and a Banzai Diff Brace Differential (93+ RX-7)

If you want to add a trans mount then install our Banzai Crossmember Transmission Crossmember

That second one would be better. It seems that it has a damper to reduce vibration/notice. That's the one thing I hated about the solid brace.
