Hey ya, so recently picked up a 93 FD, stock tt. It had a vacuum leak coming from the lower intake manifold. Therefore, I changed out the gasket for it but my mistake for not doing research beforehand. Didn’t know there were two different types. I had bought a 13b RE gasket instead of the 13b REW lower intake manifold gasket. And of course I find out I have the wrong one after I’m almost done putting everything back together. Only found out cause the top manifold gasket had different mounting holes for the screws. My question is will it work for my application or should I get the 13b REW gasket and change it out. All the mounting holes match up the same for the lower manifold. But there’s some small differences from the two, see pictures.
I dont think it will work the you could lay the gasket on the lower intake manifold and see if it would seal correctly, but the design of the 13brew lower may not seal right, plus u may end up with void where fuel can collect since the ports are not as tall as your gasket
Beyond the port mismatch, for the small sum involved, hardly worth dicking around, unless you value your time and labour at zero to pull it all apart again, if it doesn't seal properly.
I've had stock metal LIM gaskets fail after being reused one too many time, the old paper REW gaskets were even worse and discontinued as I recall, so would rather just do it once, especially when retaining twins.
