93 or 94?

i always thought that the 1993 RX-7 did not come with passenger air bags, the textured dash, and a tan interior with all black pannels and bins.

on my title it says that my RX-7 is a 1993, but it has all the characteristics of a 1994!

Did they ever make 93's like that? (maby late 93?)

If anything it would have been a very late 93 or maybe that they put a later dash and color codes in the car to make it a 94...

You need to provide some more information such as the build date in the driver's side door jam as well as the VIN#. Those would provide more conclusive proof as to actual year since items/equipment can be changed.

look at your VIN
2XXX = 93
3XXX = 94
4XXX = 95

It'd be better/easier to use the date code in the VIN which is the last letter in the VIN(P=93, R=94, S=95). That would avoid any confusion with any other numbers especially since its more like 2XXXXX then 2XXX.

yeah check the VIN. usually cars for a certain model year start getting built in the previous calendar year (usually in mid to late fall). so its quite possible you have a 94, but it was built in 93. my 93 was built in 92. and my 94 taurus was built in 93.

I've got a montego '93 touring (mfd '92), and the dash looks textured to me...

Driver side airbag only; tan interior, but only door inserts and center console are black, behind-seat bins are tan.
