4.77 gears?
4.77 gears?
does anyone else have them?
ive been getting pm's about them for a while now and it is making me really curious about them, i havent seen anyone sell them anymore. I believe mine were bought from rx7.com,
i love them, i even have the jdm transmission and it drops top speed down to 156, but i tried going 0-156 mph once and it went by pretty pretty quickly,
anyone else want to weigh in on them?

According to the excel doc I downloaded a while back (JimLab thread maybe?) 5th gear at 8000 rpms with a 4.33 diff and stock wheel/tires tops out at 190.
If you had a J-Spec 5th gear (.806 vs .719 stock) and the 4.33 diff then you'd top out at 169.

I have 275/40/17 rears, and with the increase in rolling diameter my effective final drive was at a shitty 3.90. The 4.3s basically got me back to the stock 4.1.

. Also don't forget about the 1 inch increase due to the rims themselves. I used an accurate spreadsheet, and my gearing went from 4.1 to 3.9.
