i heard that with 4.77 you might as well start driving in 2nd gear. It will spin tires way too much. The best way to go would be 4.30

i already have the 4.30. but this is for a track car and in the tracks i race there are a lot of 2nd gear turns.thatsthe reason i need the 4.77. those turns are killing me because in first gear i am way up in the rpm range and in 2nd i am to low. thanks for the info anyways.

Try www.rx7.com
NM, they don't have them, could have sworn that they use to have them.

I drove a FD with 4.77 gears and 360rwhp, no wheelspin on dry pavement even in 1st gear in a straight line. You've just got to have GOOD tires.

kempo,

You'll probably have to call around. I don't think that's an item that sells too much so it's probably one of those "call us" type things. I would check with RX7.com (Rotary Performance) and Pettit Racing. I'm sure either of them could order one for you.

I went to rx7.com today and could not find the 4.77. Does anyone still sell it?

Feed and RE-A do, you could send them an e-mail or call Rotary Performace as the use to sell 4.77 gears. You could also try Jt-Imports.

Yeah. I would think the car should still be able run 160-170 mph with a 4.77. That's fast enough for me.
