what FD does the rx7 have? 3.9? 4.1?

anyways 4.3 would probably be real nice how about a 4.4 or maybe a 4.57! or a 4.77! =x

also would help people if you let them know, is this strickly for accerlation? do you track? what set up are you running or plan to be running?

yeah its 4:1 stock ..and it is strickly for accelaration and you do lose a lot of top speed and going 60 in 5th gear might need more revs but if the acceleration is greatly improve im willing to give up the top speed ..no need to be going 160+

hey 240sxer i also have a 240sx actually 2 of them both 89 fastbacks..with an sr20 ,... its just that the motor is been sitting in the garage and not in the car for quiet some time...i bought the motor and then i got the 7 ...never looked back ....i think ill give it to my bro when he gets his lisence

word, i went by 3 s14's and 2 impreza's my 3z and those 2 integras that well, ive never driven.. lol

looking for a new car

i would say it wouldnt be worth the $$$ to do a 4.3, look into doing a 4.4 or a 4.57.

then again i dont think i have any idea what i am talking about.

I was wondering about this for a long time. I have read that (stock) FD's only top out at like 165mph anyway. This chart off of RX7.com, says that you really wouldn't loose any top end if this chart is right, and if your top end isn’t over 173. You shouldn’t be going that fast anyway, lol.

Someone correct me if I am wrong. Seems like if anything it would make our car have a higher top end. I topped my car out (when it was stock) and it only went to about 160 (it was a while ago) and I wasn't even at redline. I even had my headlights up cuz it was the evening and anything over 120 wind resistance becomes a factor.

it wouldnt make the car top out higher, if you went to like 160 then with a 4.3 or 4.4 youd probably hit in the 150 maybe less, i dont know. (assuming all other conditons are the same)
