Unhappy doesnt rev to 3rpm

My car doesnt rev to 3 rpm's no more. I put octane booster in my car and when i started it up on a cold start it worked. Then later in about 4 days it wouldn't go to 3rpm. Should i put more octane booster i mean my car is still 3/4 full of gas. Also lots of white smoke would come out from my exhaust when i first start my car. For a good 3 mins then it would go away. Can someone help me please. Thank you

Are you talking about the AWS? Also some smoke at startup is not entirely uncommon. Mine does it for a few minutes and then goes away. Does it smell like coolant?

Octane booster will do nothing for getting the AWS to 3000.

I'm assuming it's cold where you are at... do you know how when it's cold you can see your breath, well you are just seeing the water vapor from combustion untill the engine warms up... also rotory engines don't like the cold and can be a pain to start in cold weather especially if your spark plugs are old, octane booster will only foul out the plugs that much faster...

Its is not cold where i am from. I'm from california. It is really warm here. The smoke doesnt smell like coolant. Do you guys know why it won't rev to 3rpm anymore?

actually you should not want it to rev to 3K anyways...blip the gas on start up.let it warm up and dont worry about it..

The 3k wark up is normal

It is Mazda's version of a choke.

You want to check the "Double throttle control" line. It may have popped off, cracked, split etc.

pull off the ground from the battery and press the brake pedal to reset the computer... your car will have to relearn idol, but I've seen a couple FD's that were doing somthing simular and it was the computer freaking out...

First off if your talking about AWS you don't want it to rev to 3k right after start up it's not a good idea to have any motor rev like that without being prelubed let alone a rotary. To bypass tha AWS just hold down the clutch put it in first gear and start the car, then take it out of first gear and let out the clutch, (AWS is not needed).
