Just read through this thread and found it somewhat refreshing that the vehicular carnage is having some (we're talking baby steps here) impact on the street racer set.

There seems to be a strange human capacity to fool oneself into believing that because you have found your way behind the wheel of a sports car (personal wealth, daddy's wealth, whatever) that you are automatically blessed with the ability to fly around on public roads at speeds in excess of the century mark. The reality is that few people have the capacity to process everything that is going on at that speed and fewer still have been blessed with the skill and ability to truly make a car respond to events that unfold at that speed. Don't kid yourselves. To quote Dirty Harry, "A man's got to know his own limitations".

The guys with aftermarket rims are too busy worrying about picking up scratches

The totalled 95 in Zach Kellers garage had aftermarket rims. Just looked at it tonight.

LOL! Hey! Oh wait...that's prob. pretty true lol. If only that would be enough to calm me down...cuz I still drive it like I stole it lol. Hopefully really sad stories like Trev's can help ppl like me take it easy a bit, before experience teaches us personally...
