3rd Gen Owners Please Read!

The RX7 Revolution is trying to get some ideas for mini-tech sessions that we would have for 3rd gen owners during the event.

Could the FD owners post under this thread the types of things they'd like to see? Something that won't take all day (we also want you to drag race).

V8 conversions might take a bit long, but we'll entertain all ideas.

Thanks!

Let's not all jump up at once now.

Don't be afraid to admit you might need some help.

how bout:
  • changing out suspension (replacing stock with aftermarket)
  • hose job
  • wiring in powered gauges (i.e. backlit boost gauge)
  • replacing intercooler and/or radiator
  • installing downpipe
  • how to read and/or tune PFC and/or datalogit
  • going over what is involved with replacing body panels with aftermarket pieces.
  • how to track down a boost leak (I'm sure someone there will have a boost leak )

Seems that those are the things people are dealing with most often. I'll chime in again if something occurs to me.

The AST's seem to be a problem for some people.

Only if it's going in my FD

Thanks guys for starting the input, I like the idea of tracking down boost leaks. Please keep the ideas rolling in.

If you see an idea listed here that interests you, please drop a reply into this thread about it so we can monitor what most of you would be looking for.

i really like the idea of a tuning 101 type thing. get some of the gurus up in front of people to explain some of the more technical sides of tuning a stand alone and how to get the most power of out their car safely.

I'm hoping to get a little bit more input before I turn this into a poll to see what the level of interest is on different items.

Feel free to throw out some more ideas, the more the better. This allows us to talk with sponsors about the needs of the FD community, and makes a better event for all of us.

Also, we do have a professional tuner who will be at the event tuning FD's with PFC's. You may reserve a time on the website.

Thanks!

* Things that commonly break and how to stop them from breaking.

* Troubleshooting boost problems.

* Mods that suck / Mods that rock.

* Q&A on Single turbo conversions.

* Achieving peaceful co-existance between your RX-7 and your Wife.

* 101 ways to blow your engine.

Very good ideas, but do you really think there is someone skilled enough to discuss your "peaceful co-existance" idea?
