Thing is FDs are cheaper now then they used to be, so buying a 13-15k car is something simple, as long as insurance doesn't try to rape you!

I wonder if the stats would be different in australia. The rx7 is quite expensive here (due to hefty luxury car tax) and wages are lower than the US, so most likely the age brackets would be higher. Maybe we could have a poll per country (if that is possible???).

In these last 3 months i've worked my *** off working over time and even doing double shifts! I saved $9k and put those down and got financed for the rest-- $10k. Am I done killing myself? NO! I will most likely work my *** another 3 months and get another $9k and pay this sucker off! (double/triple-up on payments ****!). After that i'll relax and begin to enjoy my stock 7. Mods will come slowly but surely. Want to mod this baby right! Can't wait for my tax returns $$$!! WOHOO!!

-HeX

ps. no kids, no wife, no expen$ive gf (got ho's for that!), no bills (cuz I handle my **** responsibly!)

pps. VR '93 R1 w/black int 5-spd, 50k mi, immaculate in/out. Perfect mechanically, compression is perfect and boost is exactly 10-8-10. Clean title. $17,900

76 years old...oh crap, I've just wet myself...thank gawd for Depends...Hey there's no place on your poll for me! You young f*cks! Sh*t--I can't see anymore...it says ">50", so that's where I am...say can one of you 16 year old FD owners with hottie girlfriends send them to my nursing home (Country Charm)? I got a bottle of Viagra, and I think I'm ready for those little b*tches...if I can keep from wetting myself...

Arrow Wow, I am like acient!!

I didn't feel the least bit old until I read this thread. I got my FD about 7-8 months ago. Currently the 3rd slowest vehicle that I have owned yet (the other two were my first two cars, VW Bug and a VW Passat) out of about 8 toal vehicles.

As for the age, I just turned 32 about 3 weeks ago but I don't mind, my car is paid off!!

Cool

42 years young, I've had my 3 Gen R1 for 4 years now. It is a single turbo with 3mm seals and ported engine. It has all the other goodies and can't understand how the young crowd manages to do all the upgrade$$$$$$$.
I want in on it!!!!
I pay mortgage, taxes, kids, loans.......etc and has taken me 4 years to modify.
So how the hell you guys do it???I don't know.
More power to you all, but enjoy it wisely.

24, bought my 93 R1 as a christmas present to me just this past year. It's been my dream car for years and my Autocad Engineering job made it finacially feasible, even with all the money you have to throw at it
