3rd gen owner poll
It would be cool to have a secondary question to the poll that says "How many times have you blown your engine?"
Then you'd see 25 and under stealing the show there! :P
Waaayyyy too many under 25 people with an FD.

Interesting that most 3rd Gen owners are between 20 and 25. How the heck do you guys afford the car??

My thought too, initially,....but then again when I look around adolescents (of driving age-roughly 16-25) driving around in 15-21K cars are a dime a dozen. I give them credit for going FD instead of adding another freakin' POS Eclipse to the street. Once you go rotary, it is hard to go back!! IMO.

Lusted after one of these since they came out in 93.
Bought my first '94 FD fresh out of college at 21. Kept it for 6 months, then sold it because I was so afraid that it'd break down on me I kept babying it. No point in keeping a car if you're going to drive it like an old lady...
Fast forward to a year ago. Bought a WRX and a Mazda 323 GTX in the intervening years. After I found out that my brother was selling his '95 FD, I decided that I didn't need two rally cars. Sold the GTX, and bought the RX7 from him. Ironically, I drive this one around like an old lady, too...
And how does a young'n like me afford a car like this? I can thank good old uncle Bush for shoveling money into the defense industry (my employer) these past few years. Well, that and depreciation.
But yeah, there are a lot of really young FD owners around here...

32..... Bought my FD a year and a half ago.... I allways wanted one since the auto show in 1992.... Back then I could'nt afford it.... Got a first gen as a high school graduation gift back in 1989...
I'm 27 this year and 6 mths into my second FD. I tried a few other cars before this second baby, beemers, civics, silvia's but nothing quite stirs the blood like a fd. Still can't believe it is 10 years old!
I am 48 and own a 93 FD. I have an engine coming and have yet to ever drive a Rx7. I bought it with a bad engine. It's a base model blue and am the second owner. It has 53K on it. I plain to install the engine my self, it should be running in two weeks.
