FEED me

I've been dd my fd for about 2 years now. No problems here. I had 59,xxx original miles when I bought it. I have 80,xxx now. No blown motor, no MAJOR problems. I DON'T spend more money doing maintenance than I spend on the loan. Which is $299 a month for my loan, $260 a month for insurance (1 ticket, and 1 accident). I do warm it up properly, but don't care about taking forever to cool it off. I just cruise before I shut it off. Remember, it's just a ******* car. Though I am getting a dd soon, that is only because I'm tired of paying for gas, since I will be commuting to school. Other than that, the car is fine for a dd. BTW I'm at that 300WHP mark. People really do make this car seem like they own a Ferrari. It's not all that bad. Then again, it all depends on what kind of owner YOU ARE.

I was 19 when i bought my FD, insurance was outrageous through my parents company, i was paying 360 a month full coverage. After a minor accident with it, i switched to Progressive and ended up paying 230 a month full coverage. Lord knows why i was paying 130 more with the old company, but im glad im with Progressive now.
What kills me the most is the gas tho, damn. even when im light on the throttle i probably only see 15 around town, and highway i net ABOUT 22 MPG as long as i have the Cruise Control on. Which i guess in respects to what some of you see, isnt half bad.
BUT, when i first bought the car, i had to replace the old engine since it was on its way out, not a fun or cheap experience.

these threads are so ridiculous... every ******* 17 year old kid chimes in with a burning desire to rationalize their stupid predicaments.
the point is, unless you're making a good amount of money, or have a second car, there is N O R A T I O N A L R E A S O N to decide to buy this car. It's not a ******* honda that you can "love more" and suddenly ****'s looking spanky.
Old parts die on the car, the car overheats, and I know people that this car has forced to quit college.
Unless it's a burning passion in which you eat, ****, and sleep rotaries (and you'll know if I am referring to you, if you have to think about it you aren't one of them), it won't be a happy time for you. Period.

Now What?

I love my FD. It was my DD for over three years with no major problems. Of course I only but quality parts into it and stay on top of the maintenance but I always done that with all my cars. I am as crazy about it today as I was when I saw one for the first time in person about 12 years ago. Mine is currently putting out about 320 hp at the flywheel. It does help that I live right between Gotham Racing and RX.7 com here in Dallas. I drove mine this morning back from work and there is only one other thing that puts such a big smile on my face and it doesn't have to do with cars!
