Sure it is. You hate sound that much do you?
I think to XR-1's or 2's to save weight along with a resonated downpipe and a racing beat exhast would be real quiet. Almost stock levels I would think.

ACtaully waht Iw anted to do was run 2 XR1s in a regular midpipe, then instead of a catback just have pipeing.

I want to see if an exhaust shop can fabricate the pipes so it splits after the MP and and exits on both sides. I've looked at the driver side, and I thik with a little trimming you can get a 3" pipe to exit, but I really don't know. I still ahve to get there so they can look at it.

It might not fit. I tried to have a resonator welded onto my midpipe while on the car. The resonator would not fit anywhere.

A resonatos should fit there. I know a muffler fits there so a little resonator should.

to get the 16" XR-1 to fit in the first place you have to weld it in at an angle....and still its a bitch to do

with non sequential and a borla XR-1 in the midpipe it sounds like a sequential manifold/turbos with a high flow cat at idle. you still get a little bit of the highway drone and as always, its loud at WOT.

What about one of the smaller XR1s. They have an oval one thats 12" x 4-1/2" x 7-7/8" and they have a round one thats 15" x 5". you tihnk 2 of those will fit.

I got a clip of a 7 running only one XR1, and I liked it although I would perfer a deeper tone.

what I really want with 2 XR1s is a lower tone, not really lower volume. Is there a better way ot be going at this? Will 2 XR1s even make a deep tone? OR at least deeper then one?

The exaust on my last Turbo II consisted of straight pipeing with a single 12" X-R1 at the back. I thought it was WAY too loud, and i also wanted a deeperr tone. I put a 3" Racing Beat pre-silencer in the mid-pipe location and left the X-R1 at the back. the pre-silencer deepened the tone of the exaust while making the car just quiet enough to ot drive me crazy! give the RB pre-silencer a shot

Thanks, I'll look into that. I didn't even know they made one.

Does anyone know if running 2 XR1s or a presilencer and an XR1 will keep me from shooting flames? I must have the flames.

Here is a picture of my setup. I have a 4" exhaust from the DP back. This gives you an idea for spacing to do what you were looking for:

I was trying to give him a reference point of the exhaust. It had nothing to do with my car, but he was wanting to know if there was space. This gives a good example of how much room is under there.

Sorry that my car bothers you.

Zoomspeed-

I run a Magnaflow setup, as seen in those pictures. You can access the link here: {CLICK ME}. It quites my car down quite a bit, and would suggest this product.

That's right, and start posting in-car videos before you put that power drill of a gear box in

I have a custom 3.5" system with 2 magnaflow resonators. I started with one in the catback and it was WAY too loud. I added a second full size resonator to the midpipe and that brought the noise back into check. You will have a tough time getting two full size resonators to fit in the midpipe. Also, according to the Borla tech I spoke with, the further back you put the muffler the more effective it will be.
