2 nipples off of oil filler tube??

I'm done with the non-sequential conversion, but I'm left with the two nipples off of the black plastic oil filler tube. I know the top one goes to the PCV valve then to the manifold. But my PCV valve broke in the process and I went to autozone to replace it and they say It's Not Applicable for the RX. Anyone have a part number? Can I just leave a breather filter on it?

What is the second nipple go to? The one pointing down?

Go to a Mazda dealer and order the part if you can't find it at your local parts place.

Grasshopper,

Mazda did away with the PCV valve in about 1994. Why you ask? It was a point of failure and most importantly; it was redundant. Why, because that bottom nipple goes to a rubber hose that connects to the metal pipe near it, and that goes near your #1 turbo. A rubber hose connects that down to the #1 inlet plastic elbo.
Thus the #1 turbo constantly sucks fumes from the oil pan area through the oil inlet pipe.

I wish you all would learn your engines before playing with them!

Yes, cap both the plastic unused nipple and the metal pipe out of the front of the UIM where it also connected.

Thankfs for the help. I started the conversion over 2 months ago and by the time I finished I couldn't remember where the bottom one went. I never heard about them removing the pcv in '94 before.

Believe it or not you don't become a rotary whiz over night, which is what this forum is for and why I asked my question. Sorry I don't know EVERYTHING!

yur lucky I just went outside to check my car for you
Actually I wanted to go stare at it any way so this gave me an excuse HAHA

yeah cap the pcv valve at both ends. Now in the front of the uim you should just have 1 vacuum line coming off for the check valve and then that goes to the catch tank.
everything else is capped there.

The one facing down on the filler neck goes to a hard line that is right under the leading coil.
